Everything you need to know about booking and preparing for your visit.
Step 1
Call or email for an appointment
Please give our friendly team a call or simply send an email to arrange an appointment. Our team will gather some basic information about you and your pet and discuss your pet's individual needs for the visit. We will then do our best to anticipate how much time will be needed as well as what services they may require. We are also able to give you an estimate of costs at time of booking so you know in advance and can plan for costs.
Payment for consultation and any treatments or medications provided to your pet is required in full at the conclusion of your consultation. EFTPOS facilities are provided for your convenience.
Our vet has a small supply of medications and preventative treatments available, however as a small business, we do not keep large quantities of every veterinary medication on hand. If your pet requires a medication that we do not have in stock, the vet will order it for them, and endeavour to deliver it to your house as soon as possible. If you anticipate that your pet may need a particular medication, please advise at the time of booking so we can aim to have it ready for them at their consultation.
Step 2
Lock in a date and time
Our service runs by appointment only and is subject to availability. We will do our best to fit a date and time that works for you. We consult Monday–Friday and during business hours. We can accommodate a limited number of weekend and evening appointments upon request.
We are unfortunately unable to provide a 24/7 emergency service. There may be times when we can offer emergency or out of hours consultations to our regular clients, however surcharges apply. If you contact us out of hours and we are unable to attend to the phone, our voice message will advise you on the closest emergency services available to you.
Step 3
Special needs, hospitalisation and surgery
Please advise at time of booking if your pet has any anxiety, aggression or behavioural problems. We are more than able to cater for pets with special needs but just need advance warning so we can plan appropriately. We can easily provide things that your pet may require for their visit to be successful, such as pre-visit anti-anxiety medication or any particular handling or restraint requirements. Our safety, as well as that of yours and your pets, is of the utmost importance to us, so we reserve the right not to proceed with the consultation if we deem it unsafe or too stressful to do so.
If we are unable to provide care on the day due to behaviour, full consultation fees apply and the appointment will need to be rescheduled.
Please note that currently we are unable to provide hospitalisation or surgery services. While this is something we are actively working on to provide in the future, for now, if your pet requires hospitalisation or surgery, we will refer you to the appropriate local clinic or specialty service.
Step 4
Appointment day
Sit down, relax and our vet will come to you. During your pet's visit, we will conduct their examination and provide treatments wherever they feel most comfortable, be that outside in the garden, on their bed or any of their favourite locations at home. We will always try to make your pet's day as enjoyable as possible, so please advise us of their favourite place to be petted or any favourite treats and we will do our best to oblige.
Some pets are a bit nervous of new people entering their environment, so we generally advise that you locate your pet and keep them in the house or in a specific room where they are comfortable on the morning of their consultation to avoid absenteeism!
